A very brief update:
I’m transcribing the interviews done to date using an application called Scrivener.
With the audio file dragged into the top half of a split screen window, I listen and transcribe in the lower half.
It’s been interesting to discover how a conversation can contain many redundant and repetitive ‘sound bytes’ – but I expect the editing process will clear these up and create text worth reading.
Some interviews were recorded in the informal setting of Cafe Vega and I regret that those audios cannot be made available because people having a good time makes for significant background noise!
